Just when i thought everything is over and done with, my nightmare begins again.

I must be crazy...of all times to get hooked on a show it has to be during my exam period!

Korean Meteor Garden!!!

I watched like 4 times alr..haha.

And everytime i watch, i will end up crying buckets, or laughing real hard.

Oh and after watching this..you will totally feel like puking when u even think of the taiwan version lol

The tw version is like so gross lor....seems like the pirated version after u watch the korean one...

This is wayyyyyyyyyyy better!!

Even Zn is watching it hahaha.

Korean Dao Ming Si! At first i was quite shock at the strong resemblance between the korean 1 and the tw 1..but as u watch the show...the korean 1 is very different...and he is much much much sweeter!

Korean Hua Zhe Lei! Also way sweeter then the tw 1...

These 2 are my favourites...hehe.

Even the soundtrack is top-notched!

Haha Ive never been so crazy over a drama, much less a krean drama for a looooooooong time...so imagine how good this is =D

But one thing, watching this drama will make u think ur bf sucks hahaha.

I've decided, that I shall start learning the piano.

It's really a dream coming true, to be able to take the ABRSM exams..

But first I have to convince my mum to do away with her console table to make space for my piano (this being the most difficult task of all), empty my bank a/c to get a piano, and slog my guts out after the exams to pay for the private lessons, books, exam fees etc which is pretty costly.

But I read from forums that taking lessons from music schools are a waste of money. Furthermore, for group lessons, im not so keen being the one sad 23 year old with a bunch of 5 year olds. Haa. Also, adults learn at a much faster pace so i guess it will stunt my lightning speed progress haha!

OMG I'm so HAPPY!!!!!

For the sake of......

1) teaching in Japan for 1 year (a far but possible dream) and in Singapore for the next decade after my graduation,

2) my future children and pets,

3) getting to do what i love before i reach 40 (childcare and opening an animal shelter),

4) possessing the expertise of making my money grow,

5) my parents, who encourages me wholeheartedly, never put me down, gave me a head start, have never-ending faith in me, and wh0 loves me unconditionally,

6) Zn, who ferries me around, provides comic relief, whom i can rain punches on in times of stress, whom i can have loud karaoke sessions with in his car, and who is someone i know i can always depend on,

7) proving what i'm worth,

I AM GOING TO MUG TILL I SHRIVEL UP

Ok, time really flies.

I had meant to blog abt Xmas and New Year on their actual days, but surprise surprise, it is already the 23rd of Jan now.

My mighty power of procrastination =/
Anyway, I'm simply too lazy to blog in detail, so shall let the pictures do most of the talking =D

First of all, Meetups!

Shuwen and I at Starbucks late last year trying to study but we ALWAYS end up chatting...not only once, but at least on eight occasions. Haha. We will buy our mocha frappes, open our books, talk and talk, get sleepy and then go home! Haha. Each session lasting at least 4 hrs. I think we have too much to catch up, my old primary school best friend =D

And for the record, the last pic we took before these was in pri school after our "prom". Haha. It was a disgusting neoprint which i had banished all the way the the end of my cupboard.

Met up with the best friend after monthsssss, at Shokudo! Quite a nice place, and good food too! For the first time, we did not overeat and we were actually comfortable after the meal to walk around and take pictures. Haha.

Major cam-whoring session! Had a great time testing my tripod. Haha. Besties for 11 years and this is the first time we took so many pictures =D

After Shokudo, we went to the top level of Swissotel and marvel at the collection of pricey wines, the very impressive toilet and the view of the entire town area which made my knees go soft.

Anyway, Shokudo was good enough for me to patronise a second time. This time with Patsy and Lee Ying!

We did not take any pictures at all coz we were too busy catching up. We are really a strange group of friends. We only bonded through working in Cafe Cartel after our A levels, even though Pat was my classmate and Leeying was my Lion Dance cca mate. And we only meet 3 times a year; for each of our birthdays.

So imagine how conversations just flow relentlessly the moment we meet =D

Oh. and finally met up with Mr Yeo Kaijie who has been bugging us for Japan Village. Hehs. Major yakking session once again till my jaw hurts on my way home LOL.

Met up with the best friend again for Swissotel Merchant Court buffet! We were back to normal again, stuffing our faces silly with food and a fullstop close to puking when we left the place. Hehs. It's like our favourite buffet, coz of the durian pengat!

And now I can finally blog about Xmas!

Met up with Dennis, Weichong and Patsy for Xmas Village with Arthur Kok, our ex GP teacher!

He brought us around the village, and was out personal photographer and commentator for the night. And poor him had to eat our leftovers from our Cafe Cartel dinner coz he had no time and was starving. Haha.

After that we walked to esplanade to watch an accapella performance which was very enjoyable, and before that we wrote our new year wishes on those big white balls they roll into the esplanade river!

Ohyah. And that stupid Dennis got the audacity to give everyone a box of Ferrero Rocher for Xmas, and all i got was this:

At first when he passed me the box everyone was like WAHHHH SO UNFAIR WHY YUERU'S PRESENT SO NICE! But when i opened it up......pah! hotel toiletries from his trip to KL! Got the toilet roll he used somemore. Got the nerve eh. Even Weichong was so kind to offer me his ferrero rocher when he saw my dismayed look. Haa.

But then again. It's quite sweet lah since he made the effort to collect all these toiletries and put it in a nice box for each of his trips *smirks*

But next time please include some goodies from those countries can. And I'm waiting for my presents from Macau hor dennis ong sze peng. =D

Xmas Celebration at home!

I was in charged of the Xmas feast last year and here's what was prepared:

Sherpard's Pie, Michigan Turkey with Cranberry Sauce, Coleslaw, Ham, and Peach Orange Sorbet. Doesnt look nice in pictures but since the food was polished off i assumed that it was not bad =D

And this year, we had present exchange for the first time. It was hilarious man

We drew lots weeks before xmas to see who will be buying for and it was supposed to be kept a secret. And somehow, my dad forgot who he was buying for and lo and behold, my bro ended up with 2 presents and my mum ended up with NONE. Haa.

And after some investigations, here's the whole story:

Originally, my dad was supposed to buy for my mum, my mum to buy for my dad, my sis to buy for my bro, my bro to buy for me, and me to buy for my sis.

And coz my parents will buy the presents together, so they decided to tell each other who they are buying for.

But, my dad had wanted to surprise my mum with a present, so he lied to my mum that he is getting for my bro. and guess what? my dear old forgetful dad forgot that he lied and he bought for my bro. So end up my bro got 2 presents and my mum got none.

And the amazing thing was that my sis, who was supposed to get a present for my bro, got something which my mum like, which is a cactus rack with cactuses. So finally, everyone got a present!

For the record, here are the presents we got:

I gave my sis a teeth whitening kit,

my bro gave me a wire neatener and creative sound blaster,

my sis gave my mum the cactuses,

my mum gave my dad swimming pants (which he tried on and wrapped it himself),

and my dad got my bro a table tennis racket and 3 pairs of socks.

Haha. What a funny Xmas.

And finally, our New Year celebration!

My family + Zn + Sis bf went out to this Zi Char place to have dinner. The food was soooooo good that no one bothered to take any pictures. But anyway, after the dinner, Zn brought his new doggie over to my place to visit! Sooooooooo fat and cute!

MooMoo kept wanting to be friends with him but the poor soul was so frightened that he kept scurrying away! And Mimi was soooooo scared of it she was just hiding away in the room heh heh.

Anyway, CNY is just in 2 days time. Just came back from new year shopping with my family and im blogging while getting my hair dyed. hehe.

CNY this year is special coz my uncle and his family will be coming over to Sg!

OKKKK gtg wash my hair now before it turns bright orange.

Just came back from a "picnic" with my family(including MooMoo) + Zn + Sis' bf.

It was supposed to be at east coast park, but the sad-looking weather looked so threatening that we decided to change to a poolside picnic at my dad's condo =)

Here's the very suaku MooMoo who hardly go for rides in the car and who also thought that we were going to throw him away. He kicked and scratched all the way and stared very hard at my dad to make sure my dad doesnt abandon him haha.

And this is one swimming pool that Moomoo will never forget. The little goondu was running around happily when he mistook the pool for flat ground and just trotted into the pool!

And to our surprise, he flapped his paws and started swimming towards the edge! But after that he couldnt get himself out of the water and we saw his little black head bobbing up and down and his four limbs flapping furiously. HAHAHAA. That was when my dad went to save him. LOL.

Anyway after all the drama, we tucked into the big spread of food we had prepared. And I really mean BIG SPREAD. So much that even with the presence of mega eaters like my bro, Zn and Chan Keet(Sis' bf), we only managed to polish off 1/3 of it hahaha.

Ohhh, and the cutest part: Zn and Chan Keet each brought some food cooked by themselves!

And all i can say is that both of them are soooooooooooooo ah pek-ish LOL.

Zn cooked a whole tub of FRIED RICE and KAYA (yessss he made them!!) and Chan Keet made MUA CHEE.

Like OMG right. HAHA.

His Kaya, which he learnt from his granny. His granny gave me 2 tubs of homemade kaya before and it was seriously the best kaya my family has ever eaten!

And Zn was so sweet to learn from her so he could make for me =D

He had to stir the kaya for like 3 hrs plus ytd night!

Chan Keet's very yummy mua chee which he learnt from his army canteen uncle! Hahaha. So cuteeeee!

And that's all the pictures we took for the food we brought. Coz after which we were too busy eating to even remember that we had a camera. Heh.

But for the record, we also had ham/cheese/cucumber sanwiches, tuna sandwiches, agar-agar, many biscuits and tidbits like kettle chips, japanese peas, roller coasters, crackers, durian wafers, pineapple biscuits, tapioca chips, wang wang, monkey sticks etc! Now you can see why we could only finish 1/3 of the food haha.

Anyway after fattening ourselves up, we went to explore the gym (Zn's idea) and we also went for a walk outside the condo along kallang river!

It was a sunny day in the end by the way.

This is a dumb photo we took in the gym. We all look like suakus except Zn who is so happy coz it's his fav hangout.

All the walking made us hungry again. So we went back for round 2! After which, we were just snapping pictures, yakking away and getting sleepy from all the food.

And since i was home all day today, i continued on my shopping spree, with my sis who is supposed to be mugging hard (who also blames me for distracting her which btw is not the least bit my fault!) =D

Staying at home is a big NONONO.

Coz i know i will not be splurging on food,

and somehow, it makes me feel very, very rich.

which in turn unleash my strong desire to spend...and spend...and spend.

OMG.

Sprees are going to cause my downfall.

I think the next thing i know, I will have to spree for a new wardrobe!

My mum is sooooo going to kill me when she sees these 3 pairs of shoes. She has been nagging at me to clear the bursting cupboard of shoes that I've bought but never/hardly worn before and here I come......with 3 more pairs.....

And these are not all! I bought nail polishes from OPI, some stuff from drugstore.com and I am going to stock up on my masks now =)

Cant wait for all these to arrive!!

Btw, the reason im still online shopping and not in bed now is that i dont have to wake up early tmr for work coz im on MC.

HAHA. Yup im sick again. that makes it 4 friggin time in exactly 2 months!

The childcare has germs flying everywhere man.

Though my head is throbbing and im feeling a little light-headed, with coughing fits and nursing a sore throat, I dont exactly feel miserable.

What can i say?

Shopping makes me happy =)
